How I describe myself in Three Words: Making It Happen!

How I express my Three Words through my style:  I work in an industry which lies at the intersection of many different worlds – the bar world, the investor world, the creative world, the corporate world.  I enjoy the type of style that can take me seamlessly from one world to the other while still being uniquely me.  I like to keep my style classic with an understated edge.  I think the looks I’ve chosen here are different in terms of how dressed up or down they are but still embody this same philosophy.  I would absolutely feel confident wearing any of these looks in any of the settings I’ve listed above.  To keep my wardrobe functional, I’ve also learned over time to stick to a consistent color palette; for me that’s black, white and blue with occasional accents of red, pink or coral.

Words of advice on how to develop the confidence to be who you are: Trust your instincts.  Always listen, but never follow.  When you’re an entrepreneur people love to give you unsolicited advice on how to run your business!  However, part of the reason why your idea is so good and your business will succeed is because you have spotted an opportunity that no-one else has the guts to go after themselves.  So while I would say you should never dismiss valuable (or even tough) feedback, at the same time know when to stick to your guns; because ultimately it’s your judgement and willingness to take risks that has got you to where you are.
