Eli's 3 Words

Name: Eli Walker

Profession: Founder/CEO/Author/Speaker - Drunk Yoga® & Divine Your Story™; I help workplace leaders build happier communities.

How I describe myself in Three Words: Ambitious, Funny, Truth-seeking

How I express my Three Words through my style: I fancy myself a marriage between "Pheobe" from the TV show Friends and Scarlet Johannsson. I'm a bit of a hippie at heart, but I love tasteful, seductive accessories...akin to Marilyn Monroe. I often wear athleisure-wear for work, so I choose nice, full-coverage yoga gear (often a crop top with high-waisted leggings) in autumnal colors. After teaching a yoga or meditation class, I often have to go fulfill my CEO duties at a speaking engagement or networking event. So, I love keeping a solid-colored blazer handy to throw over my leggings and crop, plus a long string of pearls, bright red lipstick (it just makes me feel strong and sexy!), and comfortable boots with a small heel. I'm from Wisconsin, so I'm "comfort before fashion"...I love to wear practical clothes I can bike around NYC in, so thank goodness for Lululemon and Athleta, am I right?

Words of advice on how to develop the confidence to be who you are: Truly allowing yourself to "be who you are" is more a feeling of surrendering than achieving. My advice is to remember that while it often seems like others may want you to be who THEY want you to be--they don't. The world wants you to be who you are. Best not to resist. ;)
