How I describe myself in Three Words: Passionate, Creative, Disciplined
How I express my Three Words through my style: I would describe my style as classic, unfussy, clean lines. I like loose, comfortable clothes that allow me to move for every day. When I’m attending a gala or black tie event, I like to wear something more extravagant. My mom has always been my fashion guru so that influenced me a lot growing up as I was finding my own sense of style. I have a lot of black in my wardrobe but also like to accent pieces with a pop of color.

Words of advice on how to develop the confidence to be who you are: I believe you have to be really comfortable in your own skin and not worry about what other people think. I’ve always had a degree of inner confidence; I found my calling at a very young age and worked tirelessly to pursue my passion. I always believed in my ability to achieve what I set my mind to. However, being on stage and in the public eye, I’ve experienced criticism at times and have had to develop a thick skin. I’ve learned to remain true to who I am, block out the negativity and not let other people’s opinions influence how I feel about myself.
Any upcoming performances that we can see you in soon? Due to Covid-19, many of my current projects have been put on hold for the moment, but I’m looking forward to continuing with them as soon as I’m allowed to do so. I’m excited to perform a brand new full evening creation titled “Crypto”, by fellow National Ballet of Canada Principal Dancer and Choreographic Associate, Guillaume Côté. It’s a wonderful independent project that was supposed to have had its world premiere in March but hopefully we will be able to tour and perform the work very soon!
